Metallic for the Enterprise: A finalist in the 2021 SaaS Awards

When we first launched, Metallic served up the most common data management use cases. We protected files, SQL databases, VMs, Office 365 and endpoints. Thanks to the enterprise-grade performance, scale, and security Metallic gave our customers – we delivered the power to grow, and Metallic helps companies of all sizes keep their data safe from risk. This week’s recognition in the SaaS awards shortlist cements that assertion, as we are called out as a finalist for Best Enterprise-level SaaS Product.

The launch of Metallic seems like an eternity ago  – if years were measured in workloads, features, accolades and customers. Now Metallic covers everything from cloud native data to enterprise databases like SAP HANA and Oracle, to Kubernetes, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and much more. We’ve been innovating and launching at warp speed while the world around us has also changed fast. Metallic now offers breadth of coverage, differentiated flexibility, and single pane of glass management that extends to Commvault software and appliances – to make sure that our customers can stay ahead of the pace of change, no matter how fast. Metallic has proven that SaaS-delivered data services can meet the toughest demands of large multi-national companies across industries – many of whom we are proud to call customers.

So what do enterprises need? It’s not different from what a midsized customer needs: ultimate security they can trust, especially these days; simplified management that lets them deploy internal resources for transformation initiatives; fast performance and fast recovery to minimize downtime. However, enterprises need all this with unlimited scale, and the ability to consolidate many point solutions to simplify management drives much-needed efficiency.

Metallic is happy to deliver on all of this and more, with industry-leading technology recently recognized as an “outperformer” in the GigaOm Radar for Hybrid Cloud Data Protection, and called out in Commvault’s leadership in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Backup & Recovery Solutions.
