Metallic Gets a Nod for “Best Data-Driven SaaS Product” on 2022 SaaS Awards Shortlist
There’s no better way to start a day than opening my email and seeing another industry accolade for Metallic in my inbox. And today is a good day. We just found out that Commvault’s Metallic Data Management as a Service (DMaaS) solution has been shortlisted in the 2022 SaaS Awards program in the “Best Data-Driven SaaS Product” category.
Now in its seventh year of celebrating software innovation, the Software Awards program accepts entries worldwide, including the US, Canada, Australia, EMEA and UK. As the SaaS industry’s de facto recognition platform, receiving recognition in the SaaS Awards is an immense honor and makes me incredibly proud of the Commvault team’s true commitment to excellence and innovation for our customers.
James Williams, Head of operations for the SaaS Awards, says, “Innovative technologies have always driven industry forward, and having disrupted the software business, SaaS continues to mature as a key driver for sustained improvement across manifold verticals.” I tend to agree.
Commenting on this year’s program, he noted that “SaaS technologies are now part of successful business DNA. Continuing to evolve, this year we’ve seen a raft of truly remarkable software solutions, making it extremely difficult for our team to eliminate candidates at the shortlist stage. The shortlisted candidates announced today, however, have proven to be truly innovative thinkers in the SaaS industry, whether they’re freshly-funded disruptors or established names.”
As cloud transformation accelerates and the risk of ransomware attacks grow, agile cloud-delivered data protection solutions are more vital than ever, Metallic stands out for its differentiated breadth, flexibility and security offerings. The only future-proof Backup as a Service (BaaS) solution that spans across SaaS apps, endpoints, on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments, Metallic delivers industry-leading data protection, enabling companies to manage their data with ease and agility.
There has been a shift in customer buying patterns as organizations brace themselves for the workload demands on critical applications. Built on the vision of putting customer satisfaction first, Metallic enables companies to easily, affordably back up and recover their critical files and data assets across a hybrid cloud model, with the support of mission-critical workloads – including VMware, Kubernetes, Office 365, Salesforce, and more. This reduces manual backup processes, and brings productivity, reliability, and scalability to their business operations.
The only DMaaS solution to meet FedRAMP High In Process – In PMO Review status, indicating deep cloud security, Metallic’s unique SaaS Plus functionality allows companies to back up their hybrid cloud data source to their optimal storage target, providing them with the flexibility to maximize the value of legacy infrastructure and existing storage investments, and keep a copy of their data on-premises for faster recovery, while enjoying the benefits of cloud backup.
The SaaS Awards has been focused on recognizing excellence and innovation in software solutions for the better part of a decade and winners are selected by a judging panel of international industry experts across categories ranging from “Best Enterprise-Level SaaS” to “Best UX or UI Design in a SaaS Product,” and many, many more.
We’re eagerly awaiting the list of finalists, which is slated to be announced on August 23rd.
In the meantime, anyone can view the full shortlist on the Software Awards program website.
